Search tips and limits

• Describe a topic in English or Chinese. Relevance combines text, chemical relationships and semantic similarity when the index is available; ranking is not a measure of paper quality.
• Narrow with title:, author:, journal:, doi: or precursor:. Use quotes for required phrases: title:"atomic layer deposition". Other words guide relevance, not strict AND matching.
• Known names, Chinese names, aliases and CAS numbers resolve chemical identities. Formula order (AlC3H9 / C3H9Al) and supported ligand notation (Ru(EtCp)2 / Ru(CpEt)2) are equivalent. precursor: requires a recorded process relationship.
• Counts and date sorting apply to a bounded candidate pool, not the whole database. Semantic matches may be only loosely related; inspect the evidence and original paper.
