Explore ALDKIT

From literature to layers to process.

ALDKIT brings together the information and models used to investigate atomic layer deposition. Explore material and process evidence, study how a film develops, and examine gas transport and surface reactions within a reactor.

Three complementary perspectives

Choose the right starting point.

A literature question, a growth question and a reactor question need different kinds of evidence. The three core modules give each task a focused workspace, with an interface organized around the decisions a researcher needs to make.

Database

Explore precursor, inhibitor, process and literature records. Bring structures and reported conditions into view before deciding which chemistry or experiment deserves closer attention.

  • Materials and molecular information
  • Reported conditions and literature context

Film growth

Study supported deposition models on planar and groove substrates. Inspect three-dimensional growth, cycle-dependent trends and structural diagnostics, with complementary nucleation fitting.

  • PD4ALD growth trajectories
  • Thickness, GPC and modeled mass

Process simulation

Investigate reactor transport and surface response using COMSOL-based recipes. Connect the configured pulse sequence with spatial fields, transient curves and recipe-specific analysis.

  • Reactor models and process controls
  • Flow, species and reaction outputs

A research workflow

Plan a study, compare results and keep the context.

ALDKIT helps organize the steps that often sit across papers, scripts and visualization tools. Each module remains explicit about its inputs, outputs and model scope, so you can use the pieces relevant to your study.

Find a basis for the study

Start from relevant records and original publications. Compare the reported chemistry, substrate and process conditions before deciding which evidence can inform your model.

Define a controlled comparison

Choose a supported model and make the question concrete: a changed pulse schedule, another substrate geometry, or a different reactor condition. Keep other assumptions explicit.

Inspect more than one signal

Use structures, fields and curves together. Save the parameters and result artifacts so that a numerical trend can be examined alongside the model that produced it.

The working environment

Desktop capabilities and the web roadmap.

ALDKIT supports desktop use and an API-backed browser interface. ALDHub currently presents the suite for public review. Login, database access and simulation execution are not yet enabled on this website.

A focused scientific interface

The application places setup controls, scientific views and result analysis in a shared workflow. The planned web workspace will adapt these tools to browser layouts and different screen sizes.

Authenticated access is planned

The existing API architecture provides the basis for account access and scientific operations. A future authenticated dashboard will provide access to the available tools; the current account pages are previews.

Built for careful exploration

Keep evidence and assumptions visible.

Source conditions and model assumptions determine how a result can be used. Review them before comparing materials, fitting experimental data or extending a simulation to a new system.

Literature as evidence

Database entries point back to reported materials, conditions and publications. Evaluate the original experimental context before transferring a value to a new system.

Models with a defined scope

Growth and process modules implement specific chemistries and geometries. Numerical execution, agreement with experiment and transferability to a different system are separate questions to assess.
